Commencing October 2023

This is a pilot project running for the first time and we are delighted to share it with all of you in TIFI.

This project is born from a collective felt sense of Beatrice Blake and Marta Fabregat as part of our personal path with Focusing, and our love of life-enhancing ecosystems and environments where others can flourish and keep spreading Focusing from a place of inner guidance.

Our vision is to offer a safe and congruent space where you can find your own unique and authentic training model, a model that keeps evolving and is alive, fully experiential.

You are welcome to write to us to enquire about the full informative document of the training.

Focusing Certification Framework

The Focusing Trainer Certification Program is a unique apprenticeship programme and mentored training that is structured to promote the deepening of your skills and wisdom in Focusing. It also brings awareness in all the specific aspects that will be important to share as you teach or share Focusing with others in any areas of your life. There are 5 aspects of the Focusing Trainer Programme:

1. Focusing Skills – experiential training – This will be an ongoing part of the programme with a monthly session of 1.5-hours with Marta for 12 months. This training will cover how to teach basic Focusing Skills step by step and how to convey what Focusing is. This will be followed by personal reading and monthly peer practice.

2. TAE – Thinking at the Edge as a way of uncovering your own unique training- teaching model. TAE was developed by Eugene Gendlin and his wife, Mary Hendricks Gendlin, to bring felt sensing into planning and development. Classes will be every two weeks for 1.5 hours for four months, with partnership practice between classes.

3. Reading Circle–collective enquiry into The Philosophy of the Implicit from Eugene Gendlin, with other important and relevant reading materials. This will happen after TAE in 8 months of 1.5-hour classes — a space to share and be together with some of the important Focusing texts and articles.

4. Mentoring – Apprenticeship sessions – individual sessions with Marta and Beatrice. An important part of the training programme is to be supported and mentored in a way that enables you to manifest and create your path as a Focusing Trainer. You will have five mentoring sessions with Beatrice and 5 with Marta, plus one self-assessment session with each.

5. Writing project

As the programme progresses you will be able to find your own way of writing up your own Focusing training model. Here you can add as much as you wish. This will be the plan for how you will teach Focusing. It can include anything related to Focusing and the areas in which you would like to apply Focusing.

This pilot programme will be for 6-8 participants only.

Dates are flexible with the vision of starting October-November 2023

Send your request for interest or to book a free session to sense together if this is for you. You will be with either Beatrice or Marta.
