We are delighted to invite all members of the Irish Focusing Network to a Autumn Gathering on Saturday September 19th in Dominican Retreat Centre, Tallaght for a day of workshops, Focusing and connection.
Workshop 1: Journaling and Focusing with Anne Harte Barry
A short exploration of the relationship between Focusing and aspects of journaling
Workshop 2: Embodied Focusing: Focusing and Wanting with Deirdre Kennedy
Meeting the Inner Conflict Between Longing and Protection
- Explore the whole of our deepest wants through Focusing concept of wanting and not wanting.
- Recognise inner conflict as a relationship between different parts rather than a problem to solve.
- Experience the felt sense of wanting in the body.
- Explore how trauma may be hidden beneath resistance or blocks.
- Develop compassion for protective parts that interfere with movement toward what is wanted.
- Embody truths and realities of possibilities

We will gather from 10am. Our day will commence at 10.30am and finish at 4.30pm.

GETTING THERE:
From the terminus of the Luas (Red Line), a 10-15 minute walk. If you are travelling by bus from the city, the most convenient numbers are the 65 from College Green, and the 27 or 77A from Dame St. If you are travelling by car, leave the M50 at junction 11. Take the N81 towards ‘Tallaght and Blessington’. Turn right at the first small roundabout, and left at the next. Continue for about a mile, passing Lidl on your left. Go straight through a set of traffic lights and after about 100 metres take the first right. After another 100 metres you will see the entrance on your left.
